Courses follow the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference) from A1 to C1. Every chapter typically includes vocabulary with examples, grammar notes, a dialogue or text, multiple choice and fill-in exercises, speaking practice prompts, a workbook, and writing tasks. Bilingual and tourist tracks add phrases for real travel, booking, and emergencies.

Emergencies & Healthcare in Germany: Words That Matter

Dial *112* for fire and medical emergencies across the EU; *110* reaches police. Operators may speak English in cities but begin with location: *Ich bin in …, die Adresse ist …* Describe consciousness, bleeding, or breathing issues plainly. If language fails, stay on the line—tracing exists.

Hospital emergency rooms are *Notaufnahme*; not every hospital runs every specialty—ambulance crews route appropriately.

EU citizens carry EHIC/GHIC for medically necessary care; others need travel insurance covering Germany explicitly. Private travelers from the US should confirm *Krankenversicherung* reimbursement steps before needing them. Hostels rarely cover you beyond basics.
