**kein** = “no / not any” for **indefinite** countable things — it replaces **ein / eine** and declines like it: **kein** (m/n nom & n acc), **keine** (f nom/acc & plural nom/acc in many patterns), **keinen** (m accusative). *Ich habe **kein** Auto.* · *Sie hat **keine** Zeit.* · *Er trinkt **keinen** Kaffee.* · *Wir kaufen **keine** Tomaten.* Contrast: *Ich habe **Geld*** (no article) → *Ich habe **kein** Geld.* (mass noun, neuter) If the noun is **specific** (*das Geld*, *mein Geld*), switch to **nicht**: *Ich habe **dein** Geld nicht.*
