For most of these verbs, *ich* uses the **infinitive stem**: *ich sehe*, *ich gebe*, *ich fahre*, *ich esse*. *wir* and *sie* (plural) use the same stem as the infinitive: *wir geben*, *wir fahren*, *sie nehmen*. *ihr* usually keeps that stem too: *ihr seht*, *ihr gebt*, *ihr fahrt*, *ihr esst*, *ihr sprecht* — compare *du sprichst* / *er spricht* with *ihr sprecht* (no *i* in the stem for *ihr*). Always pick the form that matches the **subject pronoun** in front of the verb.
